Rust, Germany: Germany’s largest theme park has plenty of surprises in store for its visitors in the season that marks its 40th anniversary. Lots of innovations, great attractions and fascinating shows are delighting visitors, and the park’s anniversary celebrations will reach their climax on its birthday weekend of 11 and 12 July – an unforgettable leisure and holiday experience is guaranteed.
Over 100 attractions and award-winning shows, 13 areas with European themes, all over an area in excess of 130 football pitches, provide unique entertainment for all the family. Europa-Park won the award as the world’s best theme park in 2014 and the park is once again offering plenty of exciting experiences to its visitors in its anniversary season with a multitude of highlights, roller coasters and entertainment options.
Magical experiences are guaranteed in the largest mobile digital 360-degree cinema in the world. The Dreamtime Dome enchants audiences and takes them on a fascinating journey through “beautiful Europe”. Eleven HD projectors and a powerful sound system provide a film experience that allows you to forget everyday life and creates a relaxing holiday feeling.
The Magic Cinema 4D is also carrying its audiences away on another big-screen adventure for Euromaus and his friends to mark the 40th birthday of Europa-Park: “The Time Carousel” is the second 4D production by MackMedia.
The daily parade with new vehicles and more than 100 artists, the redesigned 75-metre high Euro Tower and the four 55-metre express conveyors from the car park to the main entrance make your stay in Europa-Park more comfortable, more exciting and even more unforgettable.
Gigantic birthday party
Germany’s largest theme park is celebrating an important anniversary and it is certainly worth being part of it; and the park will be keeping its gates open longer for its visitors over the birthday weekend of 11 July. On the Saturday, it will be possible to enjoy the fascinating attractions of Europa-Park until midnight. Perfect conditions for racing through the warm summer night on the huge wooden WODAN Timburcoaster at over 100 kph are also guaranteed. The finishing touch to the celebrations will be provided by an anniversary firework display: Germany’s largest theme park would like to say “thank you” in this way and give all of its visitors an unforgettable experience.
The park also has a very special surprise in store for young visitors on 12 July. The Europa-Park JUNIOR CLUB – a free online game and learning platform with lots of exciting, stimulating, educational adventures for kids – will launch with a big children’s birthday party. Of course, adults will be able to enjoy some fantastic surprises, too.
With 54 restaurant outlets and seating for up to 10,000 guests, Europa-Park has something to suit every culinary taste: like the redesigned “Erdinger Wheat Beer Garden” with its terrace in the Seehaus restaurant in the Austria theme area. Enjoying a cool beer and a hearty meal in a welcoming atmosphere refuels the tanks for the other surprises that await our visitors.
The “Castillo” and “Don Quijote” themed restaurants have also had a facelift for the anniversary year. The counter areas and menus have been redesigned and revised. The result: delicious, top quality kebabs in Castillo and a combination of lava front cooking and a large salad bar in Don Quijote deliver delicious taste experiences.
And if you want to turn the park’s anniversary into a really special occasion, the “Ammolite – Lighthouse Restaurant” in the lighthouse of the 4 star superior “Bell Rock” hotel comes highly recommended for fine dining. It is the only restaurant in the world located in a leisure park that has been awarded two Michelin stars, and it serves the finest international and regional specialities in a wonderful atmosphere. A must for any gourmet!
From new attractions, through the big celebrations for the 40th anniversary of Europa-Park, to these culinary highlights – Europa-Park is providing its guests with a wealth of unique surprises and experiences to mark its birthday. So why not spend your summer holiday here too? The five 4-star superior themed hotels and the Camp Resort provide the best possible accommodation options for the whole family.
