Wales, UK: Oakwood Theme Park hosted the 24th annual Pembrokeshire Primary Schools Cross Country event last week. Around 2,000 sporty youngsters and their proud parents participated in this event.
Total 925 youngsters took part at different age levels from 52 county primary schools. This race was the first inauguration in 1990 and despite the occasional shower, this year’s race proved particularly popular with competitors and 1,000 spectators.
Oakwood Theme Park’s, Clare Stansfield, said: “I think it is safe to say conditions were somewhat challenging with the changeable weather but that did nothing to deter a great crowd of enthusiastic spectators. Oakwood is delighted to be supporting such a positive activity for youngsters in the county.”
This year the “Gerald Codd Shield” winners are Milford Haven Juniors and winners of the Small School Shield were Redhill.
