From Tigris to Pin Trading, you can enjoy new experiences this spring at the park
TAMPA, Fla: Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is preparing for its 60th-anniversary celebration in 2019, which will begin on March 1 with a concert and fireworks event.
The park is all set to launch Tigris, Florida’s tallest launch coaster, Busch Gardens recently celebrated the completion of the track for the attraction. While riding this attraction, the rider will be pushed from one side to other at a speed of more than 60 miles per hour. The attraction is full of twists, a spectacular turn and reaches the height of 150 feet to give you a unique view of Busch Gardens.
On March 1, you can enjoy the “Women Rock” performance from the Florida Orchestra, a tribute to the women who changed rock ‘n’ roll forever, ending in a dazzling fireworks display.
Also beginning on March 1, you will be able to engage in the all-new Pin Trading program at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. Beginning with over 150 collectible pins, this program offers pocket-sized souvenirs inspired by fan-favorite animals, attractions, events and more at merchandise locations throughout the park. You can trade the purchased pins with park ambassadors to collect exclusive series not available in stores. The limited edition and special pins will also be available throughout the year.
As of March 16, the 5th Annual Food and Wine Festival not only presents a range of world-class concerts, but will also highlight the history of the park with an anniversary-themed culinary cabin, with flavors inspired by sweets and sandwiches that once showed up at Busch Gardens.
