New Jersey, USA: Plastic crabs will be released from Patriot’s Plunge into the Revolutionary River at Breakwater Beach Waterpark in a race to benefit Juvenile Diabetes (JDRF) and the Food Allergy Research Education (FARE) on Saturday, August 26th, 2017.

To participate, guests purchase a $5 plastic crab from Breakwater Beach Waterpark Admission Booths. All the money raised from the crab sales benefit JDRF and FARE. Each donation entitles the participant to free twilight admission for the day of the race (if purchased prior to August 19th) and a chance to win over 100 great prizes! Crabs can still be purchased after August 19th and through 12 Noon the day of the race; however, they will not receive a Twilight Admission for the race.

At 5:00 PM, the crabs are released into the Revolutionary River.
The winning crab gets $100 and 10 All-Day Passes to Breakwater Beach for the 2018 season.
Other prizes include including Blue Man Group tickets, New York Mets tickets, amusement park passes and restaurant gift cards!

People who have already purchased a crab prior to August 19th will be admitted into the park after 3 pm with FREE twilight admission on the 26th so they can be present and cheer their crabs on! You can still make the donation for the crab entry and do not need to be present at the event to win. You can purchase your crab at Breakwater Beach Waterpark.

All proceeds from the event go directly to JDRF and FARE in hopes of finding a cure for these diseases.
