UK: Blackpool Pleasure Beach is getting ready for the season by conducting final tests on several rides.
To complete this test water ballasts were used to simulate weight on ICON. Each water ballast has 83 L of water and weighs 83 kg, 16 water ballasts were used for this test. Total 1328L of water was released with the beautiful blue spring skies as a backdrop.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach was open on weekends during February and March, but starting Monday, April 1, the park will remain operational on Monday through Friday until the beginning of November.
ICON, the first double-launch roller coaster in the UK, launches visitors on an exciting journey of two and a half minutes at a speed of up to 85 km / h very similar to the Formula 1 drive. It swoops and soars through tunnels and also interacts 15 times, at high speed with five other rides and attractions. The second boost of speed lifts the rider to 88.5 feet, with falls of up to 82 feet, giving him an unforgettable experience.
