Australia: Wet’n’Wild Sydney has celebrated its first birthday, announcing the transformation of its popular Wet’n’Wild Junior family area into Nickelodeon Beach.
Featuring miniature versions of the waterpark’s larger thrill slides, the rebranded precinct is now home to Nickelodeon characters including SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as Nick Jr.’s Dora the Explorer, and Gil and Molly from the Bubble Guppies.
Wet’n’Wild Sydney General Manager Dianne Rigg said the launch of Nickelodeon Beach was the perfect way to celebrate the park’s first birthday, stating that “(marking) one year since Wet’n’Wild Sydney officially opened, we thought it was only fitting to enlist the help of our favourite Nickelodeon friends such as SpongeBob and Patrick and Dora and Boots to help celebrate the milestone.
“The Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. brands have a unique resonance with families and are the perfect fit for Wet’n’Wild Sydney.
“Nickelodeon Beach will be the hub for the Nickelodeon character meet and greets throughout the season and with added shaded areas, will provide endless entertainment for families.
“Wet’n’Wild Sydney has proven to be extremely popular with the people of Sydney with over 700,000 people visiting the park in the first season and thousands already enjoying the park in the second season.
Wet’n’Wild Sydney is again offering a Season Pass giving unlimited entry to the park for the 2014/15 season.The best way to experience Nickelodeon Beach and Wet’n’Wild Sydney is with a Season Pass giving

early to avoid disappointment.
