San Francisco, California: The San Francisco Dungeon is now holding open auditions for “dead” bodies to replace a retiring corpse. Audition video can be submitted via The San Francisco Dungeon website.
Compensation will be negotiated based on the skills new body brings.
The San Francisco Dungeon is a tourist attraction which recreates historical events using 360° sets, special effects, and live actors. Dungeon is retiring their longtime in-house corpse, Barry the Body, to fill this vacancy, the attraction is seeking a live person to become the replacement body.
Guests will see the corpse that showcases Chinatown plague in the early 1900s. They will also encounter the Rat Catcher along the back alleys of 1900 Chinatown.
Those dying for the new role can submit their audition video. The candidate performing corpse is expected to remain motionless for long stretches of time while passing guests stare. The applicant should be able to implement detailed, realistic make-up to imitate the effects of plague on the body.
Candidates who are looking for new employment, but are keen on spending time in total darkness, they can experience the limited-time show “Blackout,” a seasonal addition to the Dungeon’s suspect lineup. Visitors will be challenged to find their way through total darkness in a haunted maze of gold mines.
The San Francisco Dungeon’s blackout programming runs now through April 22. The attraction will offer extended spring hours and presale tickets starting at $16.99 per person.
