Blackpool, England: With the European Championships over and the Olympic Games yet to come, Blackpool Pleasure Beach is getting in the sporting spirit with a whole week of challenges and chances to break Guinness World Records. Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s Summertime Games also includes entertainment for all the family every day from 23rd to 29th July.
Over the course of the event, guests to the park will have the chance to attempt to break any one of eight different world records. Tuesday is Doughnut Day where visitors can compete to eat a jam doughnut in the fastest time or build the tallest stack of doughnuts. Wednesday is crush day where competitors are challenged to crush the most eggs with their toes or wrists in 30 seconds. Thursday is Splash Day where visitors can compete to catch, and keep intact, the most water balloons in 30 seconds or eat a Hot Dog with no hands in the fastest time. Friday sees the final, and possibly messiest, records with Ice Cream Day where you have the chance to eat the most ice cream in 30 seconds or catch the most ice cream scoops in a team of two.
In addition to all of the world record fun and games, there will be some fantastic entertainment on park including stilt walkers, DJs and the amazing saxophonist, Dax on Sax, who will be performing at FY4 every day from 5pm.
As well as enjoying Summertime Games, visitors can enjoy Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s amazing line up of rides and attractions. From the UK’s tallest roller coaster, the Big One, to the 12 themed rides on Nickelodeon Land, there is something for all the family. If the heat on park gets too much, you can also enjoy the stunning Hot Ice show at Pleasure Beach Arena.
Wristbands start at £17 for juniors or £19 for adults and family packages start at £55.50 if booked online in advance.
