The Ravensburger Spieleland is growing: In 2016, the Ravensburger Leisure and Promotion GmbH, the operator of the Ravensburger Spieleland will expand the leisure park on Lake Constance with overnight accommodation possibilities. The Holiday Resort is being developed on property to the west of the park on 5,000 m2 where the themed area, “Mouse and Elephant Adventure World” was opened. A family-friendly holiday village is planned with 400 beds awaiting the guests. The accommodations will consist of various categories: On the one hand, there will be modern wooden houses equipped with up to six beds and bath. In addition, permanently installed caravans can be hired on the property or move in to one of the already set up tents. Another alternative is a parking space available for camper vans.
Already in 2014, almost every third guest out of the total 395,000 visitors to the Ravensburger Spieleland came from abroad. The five Summer Camps with 200 overnight guests which were on offer for the first time in summer holidays 2014 were also well received. For Carlo Horn, the Managing Director of the Ravensburger Spieleland, there are only two reasons to take this decisive step: “With over 70 attractions in eight size which needs more than one day to experience it all. But also because our participation concept includes many workshops and attractions which are not aimed at quick consumption. We have many season tickets holders in the region where repeated visits are worthwhile. It has been shown to us by the many tourists who now purchase a 2-day ticket that the need is there.” Horn continues: “We are aiming at 20,000 overnight stays each year and are very confident that our offer in the strong tourism region Lake Constance / Upper Swabia will be well received.” The start of construction on the Holiday resort is still planned for the season 2015.
Adventure, Play and Action in the Leisure Park Ravensburger Spieleland Since 1998, the Ravensburger Spieleland stands for adventure, play and action for the entire family. With its participation concept, the eisure park invites children between two and 12 years, together with their parents, to experience, learn and just have a lot of fun.
Discover more than 70 attractions in eight themed worlds in the beautiful surroundings at the Ravensburger Spieleland and experience thereby unforgettable family moments. “Everybody joins in!” is the motto when the entire family should put out a flaming house or race to milk a cow. The 400 metre long White Water Alpine Rafting, the Fix & Foxi Toboggan Run or the fast free-fall tower “Here comes the Mouse!” are sure to give an increase in pulse rate. The most well-known games from Ravensburger such as “AmaZing Labyrinth” or memory® can be found in the Ravensburger Spieleland in XXL format. Daily shows, rotating events and workshops such as the Ritter Sport Chocolate Workshop offer additional variety. With the thematic Summer Holiday Camps, school-aged children can even spend the night in the leisure park on Lake Constance.
New in 2015: The Elephant moves in to Spieleland. Together with the Mouse from “Sendung mit der Maus” (“Show with the Mouse”), they will live in the new – and in the meantime eighth – themed area at Spieleland, the “Mouse and Elephant Adventure World.” The Reka Alpine Ravine, a 37 metre levitated long rope course above the alpine rafting stream offers thrills galore. New shows, an expanded Summer Camp Program and a room for children’s birthday parties in Mouse design are also on the list of new features.
