Quassy Amusement & Waterpark will present its annual July 4 fireworks in 3-D.
Middlebury, Connecticut: Continuing the decade old tradition at Quassy Amusement & Waterpark this year also special 3-D viewing glasses will be sold for only $1 to watch the annual July 4 fireworks.
Spectators of all ages are welcome during the Independence Day celebration at the park. The fireworks – shot from barges on Lake Quassapaug – will begin at 10:15 p.m. Parking is $10 on July 4.
It is necessary to use the 3-D glasses at this show, as lenses make a single firework shell look like multiple bursts. Without the glasses, the fireworks will appear in their normal splendour.
Earnings from the sale of 3-D glasses will be shared with Healthy Eyes Alliance of New Haven, Conn. This not-for-profit organization provides vision screening for children and adults, which helps prevent permanent vision loss and learning difficulties.
3-D Fireworks Spectacular is sponsored by Price Chopper/Market 32, TD Bank, Premier Subaru, Pepsi, News 8 WTNH, and Voices newspaper.
