Ingoldmells, UK: Fantasy Island, Skegness’s leading themed family resort has recent installed latest RGB LED lights that create amazing lighting effects on its iconic pyramid and external rides. This is the same technology witnessed world over at the London Olympic stadium.
RGB LED technology is more environmentally friendly compared to traditional light bulbs. It has three LEDs, red, green, and blue inside one package. This lighting technology consumes 85% less electricity reducing the Parks carbon footprint.
Ron Searle General Manager of the Park said “the project started with us looking at LED technology for standard lighting in a bid to help the Park reduce its Carbon Foot print, through reducing our energy and water consumption.”
A dedicated team from SaveMoneyCutCarbon.com worked in collaboration with the park to replace the original lighting and coloured effect bulbs. Mark Sait Director of SaveMoneyCutCarbon.com said “this has been a really exciting installation for our special projects team, although we deliver a wide level of LED bulbs from the smallest spot light through LED tubes, for customers as diverse as the NHS through to major hotel groups, this type of RGB LED creates a real wow both in lighting effect and energy saving, the team at Fantasy Island have really shown that they are leading the way in their thinking both in attracting customers to the park but also in their commitment to reducing their carbon reduction”
Fantasy Island is spread in 40 acres making it Europe’s largest 7 day market with over 220 stalls, 24 Thrill Seeking Rides. The Pyramid Family Entertainment Centre, Bars and Food Outlets. There are also two caravan sites which house 300 static caravans.
