Australia: Dreamworld is honoured to again be awarded the Best Tourist Attraction in Queensland at this year’s Queensland Tourism Awards on Friday night in Brisbane.
Queensland Tourism Industry Council chief Daniel Gschwind said “Dreamworld is a well-entrenched product that could have been resting on its laurels but they continue to innovate.”
Innovation is at the forefront of Dreamworld CEO Craig Davidson’s vision, Dreamworld Corroboree; new food and beverage outlets; and plans for an upgraded Tiger Island coming next year.
“This recognition is gratefully received on behalf of our board and the 1,200 employees who all make Dreamworld such a great success,” he said upon receiving the award.
Australia’s Biggest Theme Park just keeps getting bigger with new summer fun and attractions. Christmas at Dreamworld is proving a huge success with Santa, Gingy and themed DreamWorks heroes through December; January will host the Penguins of Madagascar in park, celebrating the new movie release; and Screamworld Slides and Rides will be on each Friday night* throughout January with access to Tail Spin, Australia’s only interactive thrill ride and Dreamworld’s new thrill water slide Triple Vortex.
To fit in all this summer fun, Dreamworld will have extended opening hours from December 27 to January 18.
Also new to Dreamworld this summer is Dough Bros. Pizzeria and Green Bean Coffee Co. with additional healthy option outlets to come as part of Dreamworld’s new food revolution.
