St Paul, United States: Como Town Amusement Park is planning to add a few new rides. In this interview with Amusement Parks News, Todd Koshenina, General Manager, Como Zoo and Como Town Amusement Park also shared his expansion plans with details about the popular ride in the park last year.
Como Town is adjacent to Como Park Zoo and Conservatory conveniently located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Como Zoo is one of only a few free zoos in the county and features many popular exhibits including gorillas, polar bears, giraffes and many more.
Como Town and Zoo, combined with the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory, Como Lake and the 380-acre park, attract 1.9 million visitors annually. At present the park has 18 rides and is planning to add a few more this year said Mr Koshenina “In 2016 Como Town Amusement Park in Saint Paul, Minnesota will be adding a new SB International Racing School with eight Ferrari replica race cars that go around on a track loop.”
The most popular ride in the park last year was Tiger Trax roller coaster. This family-friendly coaster was made by SBF Group in Italy and added in Como Town Amusement Park in 2015. The jungle-themed Tiger Trax coaster cars are custom painted to look like Como Zoo’s Siberian tigers. “The new Tiger Trax roller coaster was the most popular ride at Como Town among visitors. The coaster is 33 feet high, 1,200 feet of tracks and a 90-second twisting, turning thrill ride” explained Mr Koshenina.
The entry fees for the park will unchanged added Mr Koshenina “There is no entrance fee at Como Town Amusement Park. Unlimited Ride-All-Day wristbands are $21.95 and Como Town Fun Cards with individual points are $0.50 per point. Rides range from 4 to 14 points.”
