Staffordshire, England: The Enchanted Forest Tree Top Quest is a challenging new high-ropes course. It consists of 19 mid-air challenges across two distinct levels – high ropes and low ropes – to cater for the whole family. The brand new attraction opens at Alton Towers Resort on May 22nd

Swing through the trees this summer at Alton Towers Resort, with the launch of the Enchanted Forest Tree Top Quest, a fantastical new high-ropes course suitable for the whole family. The attraction opens on May 22nd and features two courses – high ropes for those with a head for heights, and low ropes for those who want to stay a bit closer to the ground!

The high ropes sees guests traverse the treetops a dizzying eight metres up in the air as they attempt to complete 19 incredible challenges including transverse nets, swing tyres, stepping stones, barrel crawls and boulder walls. Best of all is a thrilling 85-metre zipwire that sends daredevils hurtling back down to earth at the end of the course

If the idea of tree-top twirling is enough to terrify you, the low ropes option keeps your feet a little closer to ground, with heights ranging from 3.5 – 5 meters. The course still has many of the thrills and adventure, including the exhilarating zipwire, but is slightly friendlier for younger family members.

Katherine Duckworth of Alton Towers Resort commented: “The launch of the Enchanted Forest Tree Top Quest is part of our ongoing strategy to give families more activities to do at the Resort. We’re much more than just a theme park, we have many different accommodation offerings and a whole range of off-park entertainment including our spa, extraordinary golf course and amazing family entertainment.”

The ‘Enchanted Forest Tree Top Quest’ high ropes course is aimed at guests aged 11 and over, lasts up to 1 hour 30 minutes, and costs £20 (if booked in advance for on-site hotel guests) or £25 for non-residents. The low ropes course is aimed at guests aged six and over, lasts for up to an hour, and costs £16 (if booked in advance for on-site hotel guests) or £20 for non-residents.

The adventure doesn’t have to stop there though, as guests can book in for a short break at Alton Towers Resort’s new ‘Enchanted Village’ – the new woodland accommodation nestled deep within the Enchanted Forest, offering a distinctive stay in both family-friendly woodland lodges and luxury treehouses.

Accommodation in The Enchanted Village is now available to book and starts from £31.25 per person, per night based on four people sharing on a B&B basis when booked in advance online. Treehouses are priced from £600 per night based on eight people sharing.

Enchanted Forest Tree Top Quest and Enchanted Village accommodation can be booked online now at http://www.altontowers.com. Enchanted Forest Tree Top Quest tickets are also available from theme park ticket booths and on-site hotels.
