Yorkville, Illinois: Raging Waves spread in 45-acre is family-owned waterpark. Opened in 2008, It features 20 water slides, a wave pool, multiple kiddie areas, private cabanas, a quarter-mile-long lazy river, and many more family fun activities that makes it the largest waterpark in the state of Illinois. It attracts more than 300,000 visitors a year.
“Our signature attraction is called the Boomerang” says Brad Donati, Marketing Manager of Raging Waves Waterpark. Boomerang is a four-person raft that sends riders through twists, turns, and a 40 foot drop as they soar up the side of ProSlide’s award-winning Tornado design.
Among the guests, the most popular attraction is their new ride called Wonambi. One of the Top Waterpark Rides in the World, “Wonambi” debuted at Raging Waves on Memorial Day weekend, May 28, 2016. Located 45 minutes southwest of Chicago, this is the only waterpark in Midwest to offer ProSlide’s TornadoWAVE experience. “New to the park for the 2016 season, guests have been eager to try this new design that comes to Raging Waves as just 1 of 3 in the United States!”
The park was named “Best of the Midwest 2010 and 2011” byMidwest Living magazine. USA Today rated it “the top Illinois Summer Destination” in 2009. The best time to visit Raging Waves is during summer season here in the Midwest – their season runs from Memorial Day Weekend – Labor Day. Also, in the month of June when they have some great events and specials for families.
