Orlando, Florida: Mardi Gras continues this weekend at Universal Orlando Resort. Guest can enjoy live performances by 311 on Saturday, March 3, and Phillip Phillips on Sunday, March 4.
Formed in Omaha, Nebraska, by Nick Hexum, S.A. Martinez, Tim Mahoney, Chad Sexton and P-Nut, 311 mixes rock, rap, reggae, and funk to create a unique hybrid sound. Recently, the band released their 12th studio album, “MOSAIC,” which debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, marking 311’s 10th consecutive top 10 album. It features “Too Much to Think,” “Too Late” and “Perfect Mistake.”
Phillip Phillips’ earthy, guitar-fueled rock debuted with the platinum album, “The World from the Side of the Moon,” with his five-time platinum debut single “Home,” followed by his second album, “Behind the Light,” featuring the folk-rock hit “Raging Fire.” His new album, “Collateral,” brings fans the hit singles, “Magnetic” and “Miles.”
Live performances run daily through April 7 by 311, Phillip Phillips and other nationally recognized acts on select nights during Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras.
The celebration also includes a nightly constellation-themed parade with colorful Mardi Gras floats, dazzling performers and endless amounts of beads are the part. In The French Quarter Courtyard at Universal Studios Florida, guests can also savor Cajun-style cuisine and enjoy performances by bands pulled straight from Bourbon Street.
The celebration of Mardi Gras in Universal Orlando is included in the cost of participation in Universal Studios Florida or an annual pass.
Through April 24, Florida residents can receive three months free on Power, Preferred and Premier Annual Passes with a UPC code from the selected Coca-Cola products.
